How to Make a Wood Christmas Ornament
December 10, 2013
Description:
This week I decided it would be a great chance to make some Christmas ornaments on my scroll saw. You can find many scroll saw templates on google images, but I recommend going to Steve Good’s website. Once I found a few designs that I liked, I printed them out and attached them to a couple pieces of scrap 1/4″ thick oak and maple using spray adhesive. I like to cut just outside of the line on the template and then sand up to the line for a nice smooth finish. I would add a wipe-on poly or danish oil to protect the ornaments and a simple ribbon can be added to hang them up on the tree. These would make perfect stocking stuffers for everyone in the family!
