How to Make a Push Stick
August 27, 2013
Description:
Today I’m going to be making a push stick for my table saw. A push stick is an absolute necessity for anybody that is going to be operating a table saw, router table, jointer, etc. It allows you to extend your grip when pushing a piece of stock through your power tools. This allows your hand to be further from the blade, which in turn gives you more time to react if something wrong occurs. I would recommend watching the video for a better explanation, but trust me when I say it’s a necessity for every SAFE workshop. This push stick was designed after Steve Good’s template from The Scroll Saw Workshop. You can download it there for free and be sure to take a look around at all of his other templates.
